Farenhyt SWIFT® wireless detectors are intelligent (addressable detectors which provide secure, reliable communication to the Fire Alarm Control Panel (FACP) across a Class A mesh network. Wireless detectors create an opportunity for applications where it is costly (concrete walls/ceilings, buried wires), obtrusive (surface mount conduit), or possibly dangerous (asbestos) to use traditional wired devices. In addition, both wired and wireless devices can be present on the same FACP providing an integrated wired-wireless solution for increased installation potential.

SWIFT® Wireless System can be applied in many situations that are problematic for traditional wired devices. In cases where areas of a building are difficult or impossible to wire, visually sensitive, or have restricted access, SWIFT wireless sensors provide an efficient, reliable solution. SWIFT wireless devices communicate via a proprietary wireless mesh protocol to communicate with a Honeywell Farenhyt Series fire alarm system by means of a SWIFT Wireless Gateway (WIDP-WGI). The SWIFT Gateway connects to the SLC loop of the IFP-75, IFP-300, IFP- 300ECS, IFP-2100 or IFP-2100ECS panels using IDP protocol.

IDP-FIRE-CO-W and IDP-FIRE-CO-IV are plug-in addressable devices that provide both fire and carbon monoxide (CO) detection. The detector combines four separate sensing elements to sense multiple components of a fire: smoke, CO, light/flame, and heat. This approach enables enhanced sensitivity to real fire with heightened immunity to nuisance particulates. For CO, the detector’s electrochemical sensing cell creates a separate signal for life safety CO detection.

Honeywell’s IDP-PHOTO-W Series intelligent plug-in smoke detectors are designed for both performance and aesthetics. A new modern, sleek, contemporary design and enhanced optical sensing chamber is engineered to sense smoke produced by a wide range of combustion sources in accordance with more stringent code standards.

(OSID) by Xtralis is a new innovation in projected beam smoke detection technology. By using advanced dual wavelength projected beams and optical imaging technology for early warning smoke detection, OSID provides a low-cost, reliable and easy-to-install solution that overcomes typical beam detection issues such as false alarm incidents and alignment difficulties.
